Why is it so important to register in a parish?
Belonging to a parish community is a beautiful expression of faith and confidence in the life and work of your fellow parishioners. Registration is the official way we join a parish community and it shows that we are invested in our spiritual home. By registering, we not only become a part of our community, but we also contribute to its growth and development. It's important to remember that membership requires signing up and formally enrolling yourself in a parish. This simple act can have a significant impact on the parish, by determining the number of priests assigned to a church, the benefits and obligations of the community to the diocese, and how Masses, Confessions, and devotions are planned and scheduled.
Registration also opens doors to certain benefits, like scheduling sacraments, obtaining sponsor certificates, and getting donation statements for taxes. Registering in your parish is a crucial step towards expressing your faith and belonging to a supportive community.
*Please note, occasionally, a letter of reference, recommendation, or goods standing, such as to become a godparent, sponsor, or enroll in school, may be needed, and the Parish Office will not be able to provide you such a letter if we have no recorded of you using your envelopes.*
