Why was the Society of St. Vincent de Paul chosen? The administration at Saint Andrew wanted to address the causes of poverty as well as assist them in their time of immediate need. Therefore, a new model of ministry needed to be established to effectively meet the needs of our neighbors and the Society of St. Vincent de Paul fit that model.
