Our mission is to provide quality childcare in a safe,
loving Christian environment.
Caregiver requirements by the Bishop for the
Fort Worth Diocese
All staff and adult volunteers must attend a four-hour safe environment
session entitled “Keeping Children, Youth and Vulnerable Adults
Safe” which includes Code of Conduct & Behavior Standards
and Background evaluation. Every group of children or youth at any event
sponsored by the church must have 2 adults (18 years or older) or 1
adult and 1 older teen (16 or 17 years) supervising them at all times.
Programs:
†Nursery during Weekend Masses – childcare
for Mass is available every Sunday during 8:30 & 10:30 services
for infants through age 4. No reservations are necessary; children
will be accepted on a space available basis.
Nursery during Holy Days and Services – childcare is available
for some Holy Days and services. Check the bulletin or call the Childcare
Ministry Office for information.
†Nursery Volunteer Co-op – We have
opportunities for volunteers to help with childcare during 8:30 and
10:30 Masses on Sundays. Volunteers may choose a 2 or 4 hour shift
once or twice per month, or more if they wish. Our volunteer program
is intended to cut staffing costs for the nursery and also provide
families an opportunity to become more involved the parish community.
For a volunteer application contact the Childcare Director 817-924-6581.
†The Learning Center – Tuesdays and
Thursdays, 9:30 am to 2:30 pm. Before Care is available during the
Fall session starting at 8:00 am as well as “Drive-thru Drop
Off” from 9:25 am to 9:40 am.
Fall Session – September through
May
Summer Session – June &
July
Children 18 months old through age 5 (not yet in Kindergarten) are welcome
to register if spaces are available. A waiting list is available for classes
that are full. Registration for the Fall Session is every February and
the Summer Session registers every March. The Fall registration order
is currently enrolled children first, then siblings of enrolled children,
third is Saint Andrew parishioners and then non-parishioners. Summer registration
is first come first served and does not guarantee Fall placement. Each
classroom has age appropriate curriculums, educational and safety expectations
that are mandatory. We are not a licensed Daycare facility but we do follow
the Department of Protective and Regulatory Service’s guidelines
for quality standards of care.
†Parents’ Night Out – this program
was designed to give parents an evening out while children have an equally
enjoyable time. We use the proceeds as a fundraiser. PNO takes place
on scheduled Friday evenings. The time is 6:30-10:00 pm. These evenings
are run solely with volunteer help and children of all ages are welcome.
The cost is $10.00 per child and pizza and crafts are provided. Parents
must call the childcare office at least 48 hours in advance for reservations.
Scheduled dates are published in the Church bulletin and flyers are
sent home through Saint Andrew School.
†Parent’s & Tot’s is a playgroup
for adults to bring their young children to play. The adults get adult
conversation, while the children interact with each other. The playgroup
meets in a childcare classroom on Wednesdays at 9:30am.

Saint Andrew Weddings – Childcare for Saint
Andrew weddings may be arranged through the childcare office. The fee
is $25.00 per hour for two caregivers (required staffing) and $10.00
per hour for each additional caregiver. Reservations must be made in
advance so we can have the appropriate child/staff ratio in place.
Saint Andrew Departmental Childcare – Childcare
is available for church functions upon departmental request and authorization.
Parents must call the childcare office 48 hours in advance for reservations.
Children of all ages are welcome for these functions.
Reserving a Childcare Classroom Without Childcare Staff Needed
- childcare classrooms may be reserved for Saint Andrew organizations.
Caregiver requirements by the Bishop will still need to be followed.
Room availability will need to be approved through the Childcare Director.
Facility Rules and Guidelines will be distributed when request is approved.
Please call and cancel any unnecessary reservations.
Formation of the Nursery Volunteer Co-Op
Would you be willing to give 2-4 hours of your time one weekend per
month? Consider offering your services as a nursery caregiver during
weekend masses. What a great way to meet other families with young children
and be a part of the parish community.
All you need ia a love of children, a background check and participation
in the "Keep Our Children Safe" Seminar offered by the church.
For more information about the nursery co-op contact Stephanie Marshall,
volunteer coordinator, (817)924-7482, or call Michelle
Truesdale, Director of Chirdcare Ministry, (817)924-6581.
