June 8 - 12 YouthLeader provides an excellent opportunity to bring together a cluster of five to eight youth and one or two youth leaders from your parish for a five day intensive experience in building leadership skills, and to do some actual planning for your parish youth ministry or youth group. August 15 - 17, 2008 You're invited to join youth from around the diocese, and explore how you can be a Christian leader at church, home and school! Disciple Now encourages young people to live as disciples of Jesus Christ in our world now through partnership with their parents and their church community. Disciple Now site. G.O.D., which stands for Gathering Of Disciples, is a group of high school students who meet together on Sunday evenings from 6-8pm in the St. Andrew Youth Center. Led by a team of young adult volunteers, the evenings are full of faith, fun, and (of course) food. Together, we hang out, eat dinner, learn a little bit more about our faith, discuss current issues, and pray. So…
June 20 - 22 (Friday, Saturday & Sunday) DFW Airport Hyatt DCYC is coming soon. Our theme this year is Destination Jesus Christ. If you and to join us (and we REALLY want you to be there!) but will need scholarship assistance, please contact Kathy Lawson at the Pastoral Center ASAP. Registration forms for the event will be available soon. The fee is $95. August 22, 2008 Every summer we gather jr. high youth from across the Diocese for a day of fun at NRH20 Family Water Park. Beside all the fun, we also have a chance to pray together and share faith. This year we will center activities around a theme through art, skits and activities, and of course prayer and song. That is just some of what you can expect at FACES. FACES site. September 27, 2008 Parishes are invited to enter one or two teams in the annual Co-Ed Softball Tournament and Games, which features softball games and mixed team cooperative games. Join parish groups from around the Diocese to have fun, play sports, get to know Catholic youth from different parishes and to pray together. Co-Ed Softball Site.
