Children can celebrate the Sacrament of Penance one of three ways.

1. First, the family can make an appointment with the priest to celebrate the sacrament.
2. Second, the family can participate in the parish communal Penance services during Advent or Lent.
3. Third, the family can celebrate at the parish's weekly celebration of Penance from 4:00 to 5:30 PM on Saturdays.

   
   
   The Process of Preparation

1. The family participates in a sacramental preparation workshop. At least one parent and the sacramental candidate must participate in the workshop.
2. The family spends six weeks preparing the child at home with materials provided at the orientation workshop. Parent/s may contact the Director of Religious Education to provide pastoral support in preparing the child.
3. When the parent and child feel ready to celebrate the sacrament, the parent and child attend one of the Penance rehearsals. At the rehearsal the child reviews the material with the Director of Religious Education and parent and rehearses the celebration of the sacrament.Rehearsals are in the Sacramental Chapel from 9:00 to 10:30 AM
