	Saint Andrew Religious Education Sacramental Preparation The Process of Preparation for First Holy Communion The family participates in the sacramental preparation workshop. At least one parent and the sacramental candidate attend this workshop together. The family spends four to six weeks preparing the child at home with materials provided at the workshop. Child participates in the First Communion retreat. Parents join their children for rehearsal.
