First Reconciliation

Preparation for the Sacrament of Penance and Rite of Reconciliation:

St. Andrew Parish offers preparation for the Sacrament of Reconciliation twice a year for children of all active registered members of the parish. The preparation process includes a parent & child workshop and a child's retreat. The reception of the sacrament follows the completion of these two events. In order for a child to begin the preparation process, he or she must:

· be baptized Catholic;

· have completed one year of religious formation, either in a Catholic school, Parish religious education program, or a Catholic home-schooling program;

· be currently enrolled in a formation program;

· be in the second grade or above and at least 7 years of age by Sept. 1, 2011.
