August 24 - November 16, 2015
This group follows the book titled Rebuilding by Dr. Bruce Fisher. Each week trained facilitators lead the discussion. People who have been through the pain, loss and trauma of divorce help those who are just starting the journey towards healing and rebuilding.
What is Gained By Attending?
•Understanding the process of adjusting to the end of a love relationship.
•Learning the emotional aspects of this process including grief, guilt, anger, rejection and loneliness.
•Building a support system of people who understand your journey.
•Other topics include trust, fear, friends, adaptation, self-worth and many more…
After awhile you learn the subtle differences between holding a hand and chaining a soul. And you learn that love doesn't mean learning and company doesn't mean security. And you begin to learn that kisses aren't contracts and presents aren't promises.
And you begin to accept your defeats with your head up and your eyes open with the grace of an adult not the grief of a child.
And you learn to build your road on today because tomorrow's ground is too uncertain for plans.
After awhile you learn even sunshine burns you when you get too much.
So plant your own garden and decorate your own soul, instead of waiting for someone to bring you flowers.
And you learn that you really can endure, that you really are strong and you really do have worth.
And you learn and you learn...
With every goodbye you learn!
